Buy your terminal

Order the BBPOS WisePOS E or Stripe Reader S700 from Stripe, or a Square Terminal or Register directly from Square. It ships to your door.

Pair in Settings

Connect the terminal to your Wi-Fi, then pair it in BridalOp under Settings › Card Readers. Takes about two minutes.

Charge from the POS

At checkout, tap "Pay by Card Reader" and pick your device. The bride taps, inserts, or swipes — BridalOp finalizes the sale automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to rent the card reader from BridalOp?

No. BridalOp is BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). You buy the terminal once from Stripe or Square and it's yours. There are no monthly rental fees from BridalOp.

Does BridalOp charge extra transaction fees for in-store card payments?

No. BridalOp does not add any transaction fees. You pay only the standard processing rates charged by Stripe or Square — whichever processor you already use.

Which card readers does BridalOp support?

Four Wi-Fi terminals: the BBPOS WisePOS E and Stripe Reader S700 on Stripe, and the Square Terminal and Square Register on Square. All connect over Wi-Fi — no phone or tablet required.

What payment methods do the terminals accept?

Every supported terminal accepts chip (EMV) insert, contactless tap (NFC), magnetic stripe swipe, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

Can I use a Bluetooth card reader like the Stripe Reader M2 or Square Reader?

Not yet. BridalOp currently supports Wi-Fi terminals only. Bluetooth reader support is on our roadmap.

Do I need a separate Stripe or Square account?

Yes. BridalOp connects to your own Stripe or Square account. Funds are deposited directly into your bank account on your processor's standard payout schedule.

Can I use both Stripe and Square at the same boutique?

Each boutique chooses one default processor for card-reader payments. All BridalOp card readers on your account will run through the processor you pick.
